What should I do if the chiller of the laser marking machine alarms?

The chiller alarm of the laser marking machine is a relatively common problem, which may be caused by various reasons. When the chiller alarms, it is necessary to investigate and handle the situation based on the alarm code and the specific circumstances. The following are some common causes of alarms and their solutions

I. Common Alarm Causes and Solutions

(1) Alarm for excessively high room temperature
- Cause: The indoor temperature is too high, exceeding the normal operating temperature range of the chiller.
Solution: Check if the room temperature is too high. If it is, it is recommended to take cooling measures, such as turning on the air conditioner or ventilation equipment.

(2) High-temperature alarm
- Cause: The chiller is unable to cool normally, which might be due to a malfunction in the refrigeration system or insufficient cooling capacity.
- Solution:
Check whether the refrigeration system of the chiller is working properly, including components such as the compressor and condenser.
If the cooling capacity is insufficient, it is recommended to replace it with a chiller with a larger cooling capacity.
Check if the refrigerant is sufficient. If it is insufficient or leaking, it needs to be replenished or repaired.

(3) Flow alarm
- Cause: Insufficient cooling water flow, which may be due to waterway blockage, insufficient water level or malfunction of the flow sensor.
- Solution:
Check if the water level in the water tank is sufficient. If it is low, the cooling water needs to be replenished.
Check if the waterways are blocked, including the water inlet, outlet and filter, and clear the blockages.
Check whether the flow sensor is working properly. If the sensor is faulty, it needs to be replaced.

(4) Leakage alarm
- Cause: The waterway system is leaking. It might be due to loose or damaged pipe connections.
- Solution:
Check if the pipe connections are loose. If they are, they need to be re-tightened.
Check if the pipeline is damaged or cracked. If there is any damage, the pipeline needs to be replaced.

(V) Water quality alarm
- Cause: The conductivity of the cooling water is too high or too low, triggering the protection mechanism.
- Solution:
Check whether the water quality detection probe is working properly. If the probe is faulty, it needs to be replaced.
Replace or treat the cooling water to ensure that the water quality meets the requirements.

Ii. Daily Maintenance Suggestions

(1) Regular inspection
Regularly check the water level, water quality and waterway system of the chiller to ensure its normal operation.
Regularly clean the condenser and filter to prevent the accumulation of dust and debris, which may affect the heat dissipation effect.

(2) Set parameters reasonably
Set the temperature and flow parameters of the chiller reasonably based on the ambient temperature and the operating conditions of the equipment.

(3) Replace spare parts in a timely manner
If any component of the chiller is found to be damaged or aged, it should be replaced in time to prevent the fault from expanding.

If the above methods fail to solve the problem, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer of the chiller or professional maintenance personnel for inspection and repair.
